HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences Prof. E.K. Anakwuba on the 4^th of April embarked on a sensitization and awareness campaign together with Environmental task force of the Faculty of Physical Science Students Association (FOPSSA) on the need to keep the environment clean. The Dean in his address to the students commended them for coming out and promised to give them strong backing in ensuring that students adhere strictly to the rules and regulations guiding the disposal of wastes around the premises of the faculty. He also noted that waste bins have been placed at strategic locations for easy disposal of wastes.

Later on, the Dean together with the students embarked on massive clean-up of the surroundings of the physical science faculty including clearing of huge mass of refuse and cleaning of drainages. The following areas were touched during the exercise, the faculty of physical building premises, JUPEB building and Geological Sciences Exxon Mobil building.
